Apocalyptic and Apophatic in David Tracy
David Tracy is a key figure in the formation of a public theology. Here are some resources for his thought.
David Tracy in 1999 gave a lecture at the Center for Theological Inquiry called Form and Fragment: The Recovery of the Hidden and Incomprehensible God. I was very intrigued with his retrieval of Martin Luther's idea of the hiddenness of God as well as his comments about Soren Kierkegaard who he said was one of the "first thinkers explicitly to use the category of the Impossible to fight the totality system of modernity."
